There is so much to love about this homemade keto sauce. It requires only a handful of simple ingredients, takes about five minutes from start to finish, and can completely transform an otherwise simple meal.
The combination of fresh cilantro, garlic, lime, and jalapeño gives the sauce its bright, slightly spicy flavor, while mayonnaise and olive oil give it a smooth, creamy consistency.

How To Adjust The Heat
One of the best things about making your own sauce is being able to control exactly how spicy it is.
For a mild cilantro garlic sauce, remove the jalapeño seeds before blending.
For even less heat, start with only half of the jalapeño and taste the sauce before adding more.
If your family does not enjoy spicy foods at all, you can leave out the jalapeño completely. You'll still have plenty of flavor from the cilantro, garlic, and lime.
If the sauce is thicker than you prefer, add a little additional olive oil. For a thicker, creamier dipping sauce, add a little more mayonnaise.

Julie Ferguson says
Okay I thought I didn’t like Cilantro, but I tried this recipe because I love the Fit To Serve recipes. We loved it. I made the Mexican Skillet and drizzled this sauce on. It is so delicious!
Hilda Solares says
Hi Julie, so happy you gave the recipe a try and enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by to encourage us.
Jo says
This is so good. Better than Pollo tropical!
Hilda Solares says
Hi Jo, Glad you enjoyed the sauce. Our family loves it too.
Heather says
Our family all have the recessive gene that makes cilantro taste like soap. 🙁 What other fresh herb do you think would be yummy in place of it? Would parsley be too hum drum?
Hilda Solares says
Hi Heather, I believe that parsley would make a lovely substitution. Let us know if you try.
Terri says
Can you freeze this. I don't think I can use it up in 3 days.
Hilda Solares says
Hi Terri, I have updated the recipe because it will keep for up to 7 days after testing it further. That being said, I have not frozen it for longer storage. It may work but separate once thawed. That can be remedied by blending it again.
