This keto burger sauce is creamy, smoky, spicy, and just a little sweet, making it the perfect way to add plenty of flavor to your favorite low-carb burgers.
Made with mayonnaise, sugar-free ketchup, sriracha, apple cider vinegar, and a blend of smoky spices, this easy low-carb burger sauce comes together in just a few minutes without any cooking.
Use it to dress up a bunless cheeseburger, drizzle it over a burger bowl, or serve it alongside grilled chicken and vegetables as a keto dipping sauce.
This sauce actually grew out of the burger sauce our family enjoys with my keto chicken burgers and keto pork burgers.
We loved the combination so much that I knew this homemade keto sauce deserved a recipe of its own.
Spicy Low-Carb Burger Sauce

There are plenty of versions of burger sauce, and many of the classic recipes combine mayonnaise with ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish.
My version goes in a different direction.
Sriracha and chili powder provide the heat, while chipotle powder and smoked paprika give the sauce its smoky flavor. Apple cider vinegar balances the richness of the mayonnaise, while sugar-free ketchup and a granulated sugar substitute add just enough sweetness.
The result is a creamy spicy keto burger sauce that pairs especially well with beef, chicken, pork, and even turkey burgers or pork burgers.
And because everything is simply whisked together in one bowl, it is an easy condiment to keep on hand when you want to make a simple keto meal taste a little more special.
Why You'll Love This Keto Burger Sauce
There are plenty of reasons to keep a batch of this sauce in your refrigerator.
- Ready in just a few minutes
- No cooking required
- Made with easy-to-find ingredients
- Low in carbs
- Creamy, smoky, sweet, and spicy
- Easy to adjust to your preferred heat level
- Great for burgers, burger bowls, lettuce wraps, and dipping
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to seven days
Is Burger Sauce Keto-Friendly?
Burger sauce can absolutely be keto-friendly, but the ingredients matter.
Many traditional and bottled burger sauces contain regular ketchup, sweet relish, added sugar, or other ingredients that can increase the carb count quickly.
For this homemade keto-friendly burger sauce, I use sugar-free ketchup and a granulated sugar substitute instead of regular ketchup and sugar.
You should also check the label of your sriracha since the amount of sugar and carbohydrates varies from brand to brand.
Making your own sauce gives you much more control over the ingredients while still giving you all the creamy flavor you want on a burger.

- Avocado Mayonnaise: Creates the creamy base of the sauce. A full-fat mayonnaise works best.
- Sriracha sauce: Brings heat along with a mild garlic and chili flavor.
- Sugar-free ketchup: Gives the sauce a familiar tomato flavor without the added sugar found in traditional ketchup.
- Apple cider vinegar: Cuts through the richness of the mayonnaise and brightens the sauce.
- Granulated sugar substitute: Adds a little sweetness to balance the spicy and smoky flavors.
- Garlic powder: Adds savory garlic flavor without changing the smooth texture.
- Chipotle powder: Gives the burger sauce a smoky chili kick.
- Smoked paprika: Adds another layer of smoke without adding too much additional heat.
- Chili powder: Deepens the chili flavor.
- Onion powder: Adds another savory element to the sauce.
- Salt and black pepper: Bring all the flavors together.
How To Make Keto Burger Sauce
Making this keto burger sauce could not be easier.
Add the mayonnaise, sriracha, sugar-free ketchup, apple cider vinegar, sugar substitute, garlic powder, chipotle powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to a small mixing bowl.
Whisk everything together until the sauce is completely smooth and the seasonings are evenly distributed.
You can serve the sauce immediately, but if you have time, refrigerating it for about 15 to 30 minutes allows the spices and other flavors to come together even more.
Give it another stir before serving.
That's it. No saucepan, blender, or special equipment required.
Tips For The Best Low-Carb Burger Sauce
Use a good-quality, full-fat mayonnaise for the creamiest texture. Avocado oil mayonnaise is also a great choice if that is what you normally keep on hand.
Be sure to use sugar-free ketchup rather than traditional ketchup to keep the carb count lower.
Keep in mind that sriracha brands can vary quite a bit in both heat and carbohydrates, so check the label when choosing one.
If you prefer a milder burger sauce, reduce the amount of sriracha or chipotle powder.
For even more heat, add a little extra sriracha or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
If you prefer your burger sauce less sweet, you can also adjust the sugar substitute to taste.
And whenever possible, let the sauce sit in the refrigerator for a few minutes before serving. It gives all those smoky spices time to mingle with the creamy base.
Ways To Use Keto Burger Sauce

Would you like to save this?
Although burgers are the obvious choice, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy this sauce.
Try it with:
- Bunless beef cheeseburgers
- Keto burger bowls
- Keto chicken burgers
- Keto pork burgers
- Turkey burgers
- Grilled chicken
- Meatballs
- Roasted vegetables
- Chicken tenders
- Lettuce wraps
You can also use it as the burger sauce on homemade keto hamburger buns. My oopsie bread makes another light, low-carb option for enjoying a burger without a traditional bun.
Is This Keto Big Mac Sauce?
No. Although both are creamy burger sauces, this recipe is not intended to be a copycat Big Mac sauce.
Traditional Big Mac-style sauces usually rely heavily on mustard, pickle relish, or chopped pickles for their recognizable flavor.
This keto burger sauce has a completely different flavor profile, with sriracha, chipotle powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and apple cider vinegar giving it a spicier and smokier finish.
If you enjoy a little heat on your burgers, I think you'll appreciate the difference.
Can I Make This Burger Sauce Less Spicy?
Absolutely you can adjust the heat level of this sauce.
For a milder sauce, reduce the amount of sriracha and chipotle powder. You can always taste the sauce and add more heat if needed.
If you're serving people with different spice preferences, another option is to make the sauce on the milder side and place extra sriracha at the table.
Can I Make Keto Burger Sauce Ahead Of Time?
Yes. In fact, this is a great sauce to make ahead.
Mix all the ingredients together, transfer the sauce to an airtight container, and refrigerate until you're ready to serve it.
Preparing it in advance also gives the seasonings more time to flavor the mayonnaise base.
How To Store Homemade Burger Sauce
Store leftover keto burger sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to seven days.
Give the sauce a good stir before using it again since some of the seasonings may settle while it sits.
I do not recommend freezing mayonnaise-based burger sauce because the texture can separate once it thaws.
More Homemade Keto Sauces
Making your own keto sauces is one of the easiest ways to add flavor to simple meals while having more control over the carbohydrates and ingredients.

Keto Burger Sauce For Easy Low-Carb Meals
A great sauce can turn a basic burger into something you actually look forward to eating, and this homemade keto burger sauce proves that keeping your meals low-carb does not have to mean giving up bold flavor.
With a creamy mayonnaise base, spicy sriracha, smoky chipotle and paprika, and just enough sweetness to balance everything out, this is an easy sauce worth keeping in your refrigerator.
