How To Make Keto-Friendly Boursin Chicken
To prepare the chicken, start by slicing the chicken breast in half horizontally and seasoning it with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and melt butter over medium heat. Brown the chicken in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Cook each side for 4-5 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked. Once done, transfer the chicken onto a plate and set it aside.
In the same pan, sauté the onion until it turns translucent, which takes about 2 minutes. Add chicken stock to the skillet and deglaze the pan by scraping any bits stuck to the bottom of the pan.
Then, proceed to make the creamy herb sauce.
Would you like to save this?
Lower the heat to medium-low, and add Boursin cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is fully combined with the chicken stock.
Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes, then season it with Italian spices, chili flakes, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Next, put the chicken back into the skillet with the sauce and let it simmer and thicken for a few minutes.
Finally, garnish the dish with chopped fresh basil leaves. If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze them for up to 3 weeks.

Boursin Cheese Alternative
If you don't have easy access to Boursin cheese, here are some alternatives that you can use:
- Cream cheese: Cream cheese can be used as a substitute for Boursin cheese. You can add garlic, herbs, and spices to the cream cheese for a homemade herb cheese spread that mimics the flavor of Boursin.
- Goat cheese: Goat cheese has a similar tangy flavor to Boursin cheese and can be used as a substitute. You can mix in garlic, herbs, and spices to enhance the flavor.
