Why This Ice Cream Works on the Carnivore Diet

The carnivore diet focuses on eliminating all plant-based foods and sticking to animal products like meat, eggs, and dairy. This way of eating removes sugar, fiber, and most carbohydrates, which can affect some people.
Unlike traditional ice creams that are loaded with plant-based additives, gums, and sugars, this recipe sticks to clean, carnivore-approved ingredients.
There's no artificial sweeteners unless you choose to include a carnivore-friendly option like glycine or allulose, which don't spike insulin and are gentle on digestion.
Heavy cream provides fat for energy and that velvety texture you crave in ice cream, all while keeping the carb count incredibly low. This dessert proves you don't have to give up treats to stay on track with a strict animal-based way of eating.

Carnivore Ice Cream In Ice Cream Maker
Making this carnivore-friendly ice cream is super easy. It's a recipe for a 2-quart ice cream maker. If you are using a larger ice cream maker, you can double the recipe easily.
I also share instructions on how to make it without an ice cream maker below.
To begin, whisk together the heavy whipping cream, water, pinch of salt, and vanilla extract if using.
If you're choosing to add allulose or glycine for sweetness, mix that in now until well combined.
For those using an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into the machine and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. It usually takes around 25-30 minutes for the mixture to become creamy and set.
Once done, serve immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and freeze.
Would you like to save this?
When you're ready to enjoy, let it sit on the counter for a few minutes to become scoop-able again.
No-Churn Carnivore Ice Cream Instructions

Don't have an ice cream maker? No problem. Pour the mixture into a metal pan and freeze. After one hour, stir the mixture thoroughly with a spoon or spatula.
Return it to the freezer and repeat this process two more times at one-hour intervals.
This helps keep the texture creamy without churning. After the final stir, allow the ice cream to freeze fully, then scoop and enjoy.
See you can enjoy this carnivore ice cream with no machine!
