If you are a fan of our keto carrot cake, this moist spice cake recipe is right up your alley. It combines butter and cream cheese in the batter, making it a tender, moist cake too.

My spice bundt cake recipe uses a combination of butter and cream cheese in the batter, making it very moist and tender.

If that’s not enough, the cake boasts a cream cheese glaze on top of the cake that further elevates the recipe.

Making this in a bundt pan creates a stellar-looking dessert that even your non-keto folks will rave about.

It’s a cross between a keto coffee cake and a keto pound cake, which is a truly winning combination!

With only 3.7 g net carbs per slice, it’s perfect for anyone on a low-carb diet looking for a way to silence their sweet tooth effortlessly.

It’s a delicious dessert that comes as close to a traditional spice cake, just in time for the holiday season.

The warm flavor from all the spices is sure to be a hit with your family and friends!

Tools Needed

You’ll need just a few tools to make this recipe most of which you hopefully already have on hand.

The only tools you’ll need are an electric hand mixer, a large mixing bowl, a separate bowl for the icing, and a bundt pan.

Let me also mention that the type of bundt pan you use is important. Not all are created equal, and after a while, bundt pans don’t release the cakes well, so investing in a good one is worth the tiny investment.

I use a CasaWare brand because it has a granite ceramic that makes for easy-release baking.

How To Make A Low-Carb Spice Bundt Cake

Making this keto spice cake recipe is fairly straightforward. First, you’ll need to preheat your oven to 325 degrees.

Would you like to save this?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

Then, generously grease a bundt pan with unsalted butter, using about two tablespoons of softened butter for this step.

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the measured and sifted almond flour, dry spices, baking powder, and salt, then set this mixture aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar substitute with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Next, mix the cream cheese with this mixture and combine well.

Add the eggs one at a time to the wet ingredients, ensuring you mix well after each addition.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet batter, a few tablespoons at a time, mixing thoroughly until everything is well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50 to 55 minutes in the preheated oven or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before carefully removing it. Wait until the cake is completely cooled before adding any icing.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days or frozen for up to three weeks.

For the keto vanilla icing, heat the heavy cream until it’s hot. In a medium-sized bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioner’s sugar substitute with an electric mixer.

Then, add the heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

If the icing is too thick, add additional tablespoons of heavy cream to adjust the consistency.

Tip: Be generous when greasing your bundt pan to prevent the cake from sticking; for the best results, I recommend using two tablespoons of softened unsalted butter.

Sugar- Substitute Options

When it comes to choosing which brown sugar substitute to use for this keto-friendly spice cake, I have some options for you.

My two favorite granulated sugar substitutes for this recipe are Lakanto Brown Sugar Substitute and Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute.

You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Pyure’s Brown Sugar Substitute. But if using Pyure you will want to use half the amount called for in this recipe since it’s a much sweeter option.

However, for keto cream cheese icing on this cake, you will have to use a confectioner’s sugar substitute. Both Lakanto and Swerve have great ones.
