Easy Keto Turkey Chili

This easy keto turkey chili recipe is packed with flavor and uses simple ingredients for a hearty meal the whole family will love!

It’s a low carb turkey chili that uses lean ground turkey for a twist on a traditional chili recipe.

As far as my family is concerned, a bowl of chili is the ultimate comfort food.

It may be a bean-free chili, but the use of Tex-Mex spices is pretty much a guarantee that my entire family will love this recipe.

This recipe clocks in at only 4.7 net carbs per serving, which is a fraction compared to 23.5 total carbs in a traditional chili recipe.

My homemade turkey chili was inspired by my ground beef keto chili recipe, which is a favorite with our readers.

Turkey Chili Without Beans (No Beans Turkey Chili)

fittoservegroup app ad

Whenever I made any form of chili, I would always add kidney beans to the pot.

On average, you are talking about 110 grams of carbohydrates per 1/2 cup of beans. If you consider that one can of beans serves three people, that’s too many carbs to be considered keto-friendly.

If you decide to add beans to my turkey chili, feel free to do so, but know that it’s no longer a low-carb turkey chili recipe.

How To Make Keto Turkey Chili Recipe

My turkey low-carb chili can be made on the stovetop or in a slow cooker easily. I’ve made it both ways countless times, and it’s always a winner.

Making a ketogenic-friendly turkey chili is pretty straightforward. You’ll start by browning the ground turkey with chopped onions and garlic.

Once the meat is cooked through, you’ll add the can of tomatoes, the water or turkey broth, and spices. Then, allow the chili to simmer on medium-low heat for 30-45 minutes.

What’s nice about this recipe is that it also doubles easily and freezes well. To freeze your chili, allow it to cool and store it in freezer bags or freezer-safe containers. This makes it a great way to meal prep

Plus, I feel leftover chili is even more flavorful!

A great accompaniment to my low-carb keto chili is my keto cornbread. If you haven’t tried my “corn” bread, do yourself a favor and do so. There is no cornmeal or corn in my recipe, so it’s a great alternative.

Keto Turkey Chili (Slow Cooker)

Allowing the turkey chili to cook on the low setting of a crockpot for several hours will produce a low-carb chili packed with flavor.

So, if you’re a fan of slow cookers, feel free to toss all the ingredients and let this low-carb chili recipe simmer on low for hours.

Your chili will be done in about 4-6 hours; the cooking time will vary based on your specific slow cooker.
