Keto Skillet Brownies Made With Coconut Flour

If you’re a big fan of brownies, you’re in for a treat! These Keto Skillet Brownies are the perfect dessert to end a meal.

Intense chocolate flavor, the perfect texture, and a richness that will satisfy any craving are what you can expect from these low-carb brownies in a skillet

And to top it off, it’s baked right into a perfectly portioned skillet! That’s right, just like at your favorite restaurant but without the carbs!

If you’re anything like my family, ordering dessert at the end of a meal when dining out was often the highlight.

Now that we’ve been enjoying a keto lifestyle for many years when we dine out, we politely say “no thanks” to dessert and head home to enjoy whatever keto baked good I can whip up quickly!

I’ll admit that when we first began this journey, it made me sad to “say no to dessert” when we would go out to a restaurant. It was part of our tradition and routine!

Coming home for a sweet treat has become our tradition, and I have to say, I prefer it better that way. For one, the coffee is better at home!

There’s also no rushing to eat up all the dessert before everyone else does. And the best part? More quality time with the family!

As fans of this classic favorite, we have several well-loved options on the site. This keto skillet brownie recipe was inspired by our coconut flour keto brownie recipe. It makes a delicious crowd-friendly option.

You may think, what if I don’t have a small cast-iron skillet to bake these in? Well, the good news is, you don’t need one!

This recipe is super versatile and can be baked in many different ways. You can bake these in mini 3.5” skillets to make four individual keto skillet brownies or use 6.5” skillets to make two shareable brownies.

No skillet? No problem! You can also bake these in an 8 x 8 baking pan or in a muffin tin if you still want to have individual portions!

This recipe also doubles beautifully for special occasions and gatherings! The sky is the limit with these keto-friendly brownies

Did I mention that this recipe is super easy and can be whipped up fast?! With just a few quick steps, you’ll be enjoying your keto skillet brownie before you know it.

Simply melt together the butter, baking chocolate, and sugar-free chocolate chips. Add in the eggs one by one, and then add in the dry ingredients.

Once in the oven, they bake in just 12 minutes for that perfect fudgy keto brownie!

Best Sugar-Substitutes For Low Carb Skillet Brownies

I have many options when it comes to which sweetener you can use for these keto skillet brownies. I happen to be partial to Lakanto Monk Fruit.

Lakanto Monk Fruit is my favorite because the texture and flavor are the closest to real sugar I’ve found, and the flavor fools your taste buds like nothing else on the market.

I’m also a big fan of the brand Swerve which is an erythritol blend. Like Lakanto, it uses sugar alcohols and has a 0 % impact on blood sugar.

Although it does have a cooling aftertaste that some people may dislike, personally, it’s not an issue for me, and that’s why I recommend it as a choice.

You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Pyure if you prefer to use a stevia-based sweetener.

I don’t like using stevia because I am sensitive to the aftertaste.  I also find that the aftertaste intensifies when used with chocolate.

If that’s not the case for you, you could certainly use it in this recipe; if you do, use only half the amount called for because it has double the sweetness.

Lastly, if you can’t easily find a more natural sugar substitute, you can also use Splenda with good success.

I know not everyone would agree with me here, and I respect that, but in my book, it’s still better than regular sugar.

The final touch that takes this to the next level is topping your warm, fresh from the oven low-carb skillet brownie with a scoop of keto ice cream!

This will raise the carb and calorie count on this dessert, but I feel sometimes it’s worth sacrificing my macros in one meal to allow for a decadent keto dessert.

Sometimes you just need to treat yourself to an extra special dessert!

Back when we first began eating this way, the options for low-carb ice cream were slim to none. But now, there are so many options!

These keto skillet brownies would go well with just about any flavor of keto ice cream. The classic vanilla is an easy choice that everyone will love.

Whatever flavor you choose, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

My failed attempts when I first went keto are what caused me to be very intentional with my Keto Baking recipes.

I threw away so many ingredients in the beginning, and I never want anyone to be so frustrated that they give up on the diet before they can see long-lasting results.

Even though those early days were not fun, the fact that I stayed the course has made this journey very rewarding.

Besides, if I had quit at the first sign of struggle, I would not have had the opportunity to engage with you all.
